History

Origins

Hailing from backwater Drustvar, Faygia escaped abuse at a young age by employing very reasonable methods: a pact with the Deep and homicide. She fled to the Shrine of the Storm to explore her latent skills with the tides and arrived just in time to fall in with the Depthsbringers following the late Lord Stormsong. Her ambition to climb their inner ranks failed, but her faith in N'zoth was undeterred.Following a command to preach the coming End Times, Faygia traveled to Stormwind during the Fourth War to assist with cultist efforts to capture the city for the glory of Ny'alotha. This too failed. After N'zoth's defeat, she spent many months sick and in despair, until she was scooped out of the gutter and into a job Tidesaging aboard the merchant ship the Anne Marie.

Shadow's Wake
(RP Campaign)

This post provided enough stability to get her feet back under her. In time, she would gain friends, found family and even connect with Kraken's Refuge, a collection of K'thir and other exiled Depthsbringers living covertly on a small island off the northern coast of Kul Tiras. Through defending it from Storm's Wake's zealots intent on purging it from the seas, Faygia found community and a proper home amongst those who has also been forsaken by the Depths.Ultimately, Faygia and her allies were able to secure the Refuge a nebulously legal status as a settlement of Kul Tiras and ensured the Admiralty & Storm's Wake would overlook its more squiddy tendencies as long as the residents kept to themselves.

All Rivers Find the Ocean
(RP Campaign)

Kul Tiran politics ensnarled Faygia once again when a succession crisis in Stormsong Valley arose. Questions of Stormsong heirs and heritage were raised when contenders to Lord Brannon's claim to the mantle of Tidelord declared a challenge to him.Faygia has since joined a discreet group of factfinders uncovering where these candidates came from, who is most worthy of the title and what conspiracy might be behind this.

Compendium of Expanded Tidesagery

Thanks to the lack of lore for certain aspects of the Tidefaith and Kul Tiras history, our RP group has formed a larger nexus of Tidesage headcanons. These aim to be as canon compliant as possible while still having room for spinning out original plots. If you'd like to reference them, they are here:Tidesaging, Religion and the Shrine of the StormStormsong Valley History and CultureA Primer on Depthsbringing: Theory and PracticeNotes on the History of House Stormsong

This fanon lore also informs the quarterly "Tidesage Feast Days" RP Holidays events we run. If you would like more information and to be notified of the next upcoming event, join the Discord group. All are welcome to attend, whether you are Kul Tiran or not.
